Website / Portfolio Update, Coming Weeks


The Upcoming Weeks / Months I will be working on my Website aka Portfolio.
There is a lot of content that has to be added and changed. So it’s not up to date!
I will change the looks and feels of the Website slightly and maybe a brand new design!

As I already integrated the WordPress blog to the static html page of the website.

GDI – Mobile EMP Tank


Still working on several projects but had some time for finishing up the GDI / Steel Talons – Mobile EMP Tank Texuture!
I’am really happy with the results of the Texture and Model Design! It fit’s perfectly with the official C&C3: Tiberium Wars GDI House Style.

Busy Busy Busy! Happy 2013!


Again I’am working on a lot of stuff the last months and not able to work on some other projects
We’ve worked on the Steam Fashion B.V. Web-shop and also some T-Shirt Designs which turned out very cool!

Besides the currently ongoing projects, I’am also slowly moving out to my own place, house / apartment.
My musician part is also on a low pit. Because I’am strictly time limited, even when I don’t have a permanent job.
So the most private projects, researches and more are basically on hold.

Been away from the computer lately, Spending more time away from it.
Working on Product Sketches, Photoshoots, Webshops & Product Quality Tests and Much More!

Besides the currently ongoing projects, I Also finished a Low Poly Steel Talons – EMP Tank a few weeks ago! It’s for a MOD called C&C3: Tiberium Icestorm. A Free Expansion MOD for C&C3: Tiberium Wars. On the Renders below the Tank is in “Deployed” aka Firing Mode. We are putting a lot of effort & love into the project.

Working on some Product Designs / Concepts Lately for a Brand new starting Company!
I Also started to work with Autodesk Showcase 2013, To be honest I really like that piece of software for creating awesome RT Renders. It’s a very and very easy learn curve since there are just few options and parts. You are also able to build custom Materials with Textures and other Settings!

Below the final Concept Art created with Autodesk Sketchbook 2013.

Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 & Maya 2013


Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 and Autodesk Maya 2013 is released for Subscription Packages!
Yesterday I pick’d up my copy’s and played a Little bit with those new features!

3ds Max 2013 is very similar to 3ds Max Design 2013. Yes ofcourse its the same! Duh! But 3ds Max 2013 has some SDK features and others that 3ds Max 2013 Design does not have! To Maya 2013….. I’am quite new to Maya. Well I started to use it in the early days but 3ds Max gave me more options in the beginning! So Maya Education is on my Road-map!

So Here is a very little preview of Maya 2013 and 3ds Max 2013!
Oh! And we got: Convert To > Deformable gPoly in Autodesk 3ds Max 2013!

Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 has the Depth Of Field (DOF) Option in the Camera Settings! This is also done in same way of Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013. Just go to the: Camera Modify Tab > Parameters > Check “Enable” Multi Pass Effect and seclect Depth of Field (mentalray/iray) and you are done! Now you just need to play with the Camera Focus, FOV, Lenses and f-stops settings to get the best results of your liking.

Left: Shows the NVIDIA iray Renderer, They added some new features to the HARDWARE setup Menu. And also Depth Of Field (DOF) in the Nitrous Viewport!
Right: A cool new feature Autodesk Maya 2013 Viewport 2.0 Hardware Motion Blur. When you rotate the Camera the Motion Blur will be shown in the Viewport!

Below a Snapshot of Autodesk’s 3ds Max 2013 Updated Nitrous Viewport! The Depth Of Field (DOF) setup is same like in Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013. And is activated in just 2 clicks!

Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013


So Autodesk Announced the new 2013 Software Line-up! Yesterday I played with Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013 which is included in: Autodesk AutoCAD Design Suite 2013. Autodesk Mudbox 2013 Also has some changes but not that critical like 3ds Max & 3ds Max Design 2013. Anyways back to 3ds Max Design 2013. The viewport has some Amazing new features and changes to! Like Tabbed Layouts, Clay Render, Depth Of Field (DOF) with NVIDIA metal ray / iray and of course more! But I personally thing those are my high priority changes!

The Left Screenshot: I was trying to get a DOF in a Render few days ago but always messed up like a way to much blur!
3ds Max & 3ds Max Design 2013 includes a new amazing feature that previews the DOF in the Nitrous Viewport!
This is a great time saver for me and I think the old 3ds Max & 3ds Max Design 2012 users also missed this feature!

The Right Screenshot: A cool new feature is Clay Option in the Shading Menu! Changes the model into a Clay look like in Zbrush. Not a very critical change but it can be useful in near future or just for showcasing your model.

Tabbed Layouts are just easy to quickly switch the Viewport layouts. Like if you need to Render a scene you can chose your saved Tabbed Viewport Preset. You can create a lot of presets including rigging, animating and material editors in the Tabbed Presets.


Adobe Photoshop CS6


I tested Adobe Photoshop CS6 for a few days and so far I really like the new Dark Theme Interface. Yes you can change Themes from Dark Gray to Very Light Gray in the Options Menu.
Anyways I also did some new Indoor HDR Photography to test out the new HDR Automate Script of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and also tested out Its new Camera RAW 7.0 which is a great improvement!
